Why I Blog!

It sees me confined to quarters resting up, such a pain! In all senses of the word. Oh I am mainly sleeping the days away or watching boring day time telly! The sooner I heal the better, Dale (OH ) says I am not a patient patient LOL!!!
So I thought I would get on here and do a quick post to show you two more examples using the new Darice folders from Crafters Companion, you can find them all here! If you want to keep upto date with all things crafters companion wise why not join them on Facebook here.
Today's folder is the 5x7 crackle one.
I liked this simple one, using spectrum Noirs to get the gradient colouring of each square!
This one was using the yummy coredinations cardstock with the Kraft core.
Right that's me off for another lie down, just typing this has exhausted me.

Yep you read that right 33! Sigh!
My budget ban is never going to last at this rate!!
I was lucky enough to be sent 3 of the new folders to play with and my word I did have fun.
First one to come out of the packet was Butterfly Flower 1218-54
Next up - same folder but using coredinations cardstock, die'sire dies and a tonic studios punch.
These cards were made a few days ago, I am now on rest watch after my recent fall, so hope to post a few more makes later next month xxx

I wanted so much to start back blogging with a bang in January 2013!
But my year has been testing to say the least already, I have received some lovely products to play with and hope to be able to show some soon, as soon as I have made something any how.
On Sunday evening I took my best boy Oscar (border collie) for a walk, we did a lovely 5 mile jaunt and on the last half mile downhill, I slipped on black ice, cracking my head on the pavement as I went down with such a thwack it made me sick, and I stupidly left my mobile phone at home, so could not call home for help. Poor Oscar the look on his face was like - ooh what happened, what I'd do? He was so sweet as I staggered up kept by my side as we slowly walked the rest of the way home.
I walked in the door and burst into tears like a big wuss! Hubby was so shocked.
Cut along story short after a trip to a and e, I have a huge bump on the back of my head, concussion, whiplash, bruised elbows and today oh my my ribs are killing.
Glad it was dark so no one so me fall, so embarrassing.
So I am taking it easy, but being home I have looked at lots and lots of storage solutions for my soon to be redesigned craft room, and it really has given me a new thirst for crafting, YES, at last, every cloud has a silver lining. Will post before pictures, during and afters if I can.
I have also provisionally booked myself on a little indulgence weekend away in November at Crafters companion Craftaganza, its the first time I have booked into a retreat to play, and not too teach, I cannot wait to meet the rest of the DT in person. Something else to look forward too :-)
Well that's a quick round up speak soon

But it has been a rather busy day!
Sorry if you are seeing this on Facebook via Just Tracy's as its not craft related but it automatically uploads to there cause its me?#*#?
Any who, you can tell I am back firing on all cylinders so to speak as I have batched cooked healthy meals until the cows come home this morning, I cannot get anything else in my freezer.
Then we had an outing to B and Q got the paint for the hallway, yippee!!! No more red/ orange walls.
Then we had a fire alarm inspection, god I felt old! The fireman they sent was just a wee lad, bless him.
At around 2.30 I took myself and Oscar out for a 5 mile walk, he was expecting to run but mummy said no as at 6.30 this evening I ventured out with the Musketeers running group for the first time in 2 months, oh boy my legs are now feeling it. My run was just shy of 6 miles according to map my run.
I have had a lovely soak in the bath, my evening meal was delish and I have enough points for 3 quality street sweets and a ww biscuit result. ( had lots of low point food today).
I vow to craft tomorrow, so I have pretties to show you crafters out there.
Bye for now, and thanks for stopping by. Xxxx

Well how fast did the holidays go? Way to fast for my liking.
Since I last posted a lot has gone on in my life, some not good I am not going to talk about that on here, as its too sad!
Happy news though I have moved house, I am finally out of the worst area I have ever lived in for nuisance neighbours. I Adore my new little home, it's just right for hubby, me and Oscar dog.
I hope you all had a lovely time with nearest and dearest whether it was quiet or hectic.
I have kicked off my new year with a challenge for myself, and I don't do things by halves, well in this case I do as I have entered myself into Plymouths Half Marathon in April. YIKES!!!!
I will be doing this in aid of Cancer Research UK.
More details will follow along with progress updates.
On a crafting note, normal service will resume as of this month, so I will be back sharing makes with you ASAP. DT work will resume and other bits will sneak in with knitting, quilting and cooking as well.
Right that's it for now, I promise to be more active this year.
