Well I decided to leave the stamp alone today and get a quick card, done instead - I love to colour but just did not have the time today.
Over at Christmas challenge blog today they had quite a nice sketch, and as I have just got a cd rom rom crafters companion through, the winter paintbox poppet one, I thought why not. I will play with the stamps I received another day!!
Well this is my take, I must admit I find using cd roms a challenge as well, but I really like the images on this one.
Here is my card.
That's all for now

Today I have had another mammoth card making day!
I was asked to make some samples for German tv from the girls at Crafters Companion so today was spent making samples up.
One of the things I like about working for companies is having to use products I would not normally buy, not that they are not lovely, the quality is always superb, and it makes you push your skills, style and gets you trying out different things. These kits were in no ways the exception, I have loved every minute of working with them and drooled over the designs and general loveliness. It was a bit tricky however with the sentiments, as I have no idea what they were saying so had to google it!!
Any who here is a looksie at what I have made today I will start with my favourite, you cannot see it in the photograph but the little birdies are swinging loose in side. Enjoy!!!!
There are several others but I think you get the idea of what I have been making today.
Well that's it for now

Well I am at home this week getting samples for TV, magazines, demonstrations and workshops, turns out a weeks holiday has turned into the busiest week going!!!
Right today's cards is a sneaky peak of one of the cards and matching envelopes for my Trimcraft demonstrations, the envelope was made first from the 12 x 12 stack, then I made the card, again it was one of those cards that came together all of its own accord, after spying the small 6 x 6 sheet of papers in the first edition Christmas village stack - this particular sheet had loads of small images on it. So I thought tiny cards on a card. LOL!!!
I do worry how my brain works sometimes.
Well must get back to the grindstone!

If I keep going at this rate, I will have all my Christmas cards made by the end of October lol!!!
Any hoo yesterday I got my demonstration kit from Trimcraft and there was oodles and oodles of goodies.
So went on a blog hop to find some sketches to give me clarity as my head was spinning from all the new goodies and ideas on what to do.
Now with all the goodies being Christmas themed, I had to turn to Christmas card challenge, this week they have a cool sketch to follow. And the DT work as always is amazing.

Well I was looking at fellow DT member Marceas Blog which is so inspiring, when I spied a Digi company called The Paper Shelter, if you are into cute - these are lovely.
Anyhow I had to make a little purchase did I not! Then I noticed they have a challenge blog too! What better way to play with my new Digi downloads then to play along with the Clean and simple challenge.
http://thepapershelter.blogspot.co.uk/ ( don't know if it's linking properly? On blogsy).
Here is my card I hope you like it, think I may have got a little bit carried away though for a clean and simple card, I was experimenting with white on white as well as mixing embossing folders and score boards.
I would also like to enter it into Simon says stamp and show challenge - which is an anything goes challenge this week.
Till next time.

Well the sun is shining and I have a lovely roast dinner in the oven - yum yum!
I wanted to colour today and I found a lovely sketch over at Sketchy Colors, and decided to play along, the design team have shown some lovely inspirational pictures, please go take a look.
Here is my card,Boy it was a bit of a doozy to get a photograph of. I have used, first edition boho chic papers
, a SWALK stamp and my spectrum Noir pens. After thoughts I think it will need some flowers, but my main exciting moment was the floral border. I made this with a new tonic studios border punch, I punched one side edge, trimmed the paper to 1 inch turned and punched the other side, it gave me a lovely daisy chain ribbon.
Here is a close up. I have to admit, I did a little happy dance when it came out.
Oh and what do you think of the new look of my blogging home, I felt it was in need of redecorating - hope you like it xx
Bye for now.
Well what a busy day it was in the shop yesterday! It was so lovely to see lots of our regulars and lots of new faces too!
It never seems to amaze me how the trends shift and change from one week to the next.
I myself even flit about, I am and always will be an ardent stamper and colourinner ;-) however early yesterday I wanted to play with and old favourite, the retro flower punch from Tonic Studios and one of their new gear border punches!
I went for using the negative side of the flower to boot, as sometimes this can be more effective in MHO. I was really pleased with the clean and simpleness of this card. As it will go to someone who does not do over embellished.

I know, don't get too excited so many posts this week. I have well and truly crafted away this week!
Yesterday, I was stood at the counter making, looking at the wool section, which is quickly diminishing as we are having a sale to close down the wool department, when I spied the lovely buttons.
Just to show you can get card inspiration from anywhere I knocked up two easy makes.

If you ever needed an excuse to get your crafty stash out and play today and the weather in Plymouth would be perfect!
So what is happening in my life at the moment. Well in two simple words : Too much.
Some good some not so good.
Let's get the bad out the way, I am having major problems with my coxis, and will be booking a doctors appointment as soon as to get it looked at. Father in laws Alzheimer's is declining rapidly and now has other issues appearing, mother in law has now a major heart problem and needs X-rays and scans, and hubby has now got high then low blood pressure problems, I personally think they all gather around a medical journal and see who can have what, when and how. Seriously though it is pretty worrying.
The good, my crafting mojo is returning a little every day, and I have been very privileged to have been accepted on the DT for Crafters Companion, so you may see some samples made by me on your tv screens soon. Sara, Leann and everybody who works at Crafters are really pushing the limits in crafting realms and are continually looking for new and exciting products. I cannot wait to get stuck in.
Any way enough rabbiting on, I have a show for you.
I was playing nicely in the back room of the shop yesterday as the workshops are not on at the moment and we had the new Wild Rose Studio Christmas Stamps.
A scallop 6 x 6 card blank was used as my base card. A spellbinder die frames the stamp image , I coloured with pro markers, and a couple of punches helped with the little tag.
The new velvet and lace ribbon we have in the shop is GORGEOUS! And I could not resist putting a little down the side, and then topped it off with 3 little rosebuds.

Sometimes I need a quick card, just to send NOW!! You know the cards, that oh I just remembered its great aunt Mabel , your mums third aunt removed or something like that, birthday tomorrow. For these cards something quick, simple and fresh are the order of the day.
I cannot spend time (hours) colouring in, and at these times I revert back to my old friend the punches.
2" scallop, 1.5" circle, and 2 different size flower punches were used on this card.
Hope you likey!
In other life, tonight, I have my first ever 5km race, lots of people from all over Plymouth ( mainly running groups) will be taking part. Gulp!
I never intended to run in races, but need to see how well I am doing. Will know after tonight I guess. Here's hoping I don't make an idiot of myself.
Till next time bye xxxx

Morning peeps, well it is Tuesday and I am having a very busy week indeed, at the moment I am pup sitting for my mum, we have a 9 month old border collie called Oscar, and mums is a 4 month old springer spaniel called Ollie.
They really make a handsome pair, and play non stop, tis really cute, until it's time for me to do anything crafty!
Hence why my card today was photo-ed with a straggy end ribbon, I assure you since it was taken I have retrimmed the ends.
I have used a heartfelt creations stamp, spellbinder dies, a crafts too embossing folder and used a distress ink pad for my wee bit of colour.
I was hopping today and saw the theme for the My Time to Craft Challenge was Christmas so thought it would do very nicely.
The challenge can be found here: http://mytimetocraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/, sorry you may have to copy and paste the link as , have not quite figured out how to do that on blogsy yet!!
Please take the time to go visit, I think it is one of the best things about crafting, so many people take the time to give inspiration to others. Enjoy!!

Well in amongst trying to get a few Christmas presents made, ( I cannot believe I just typed that, but I want to be a little bit more organised this year).
Well any who! I wanted to show you a little sneak peak of one of the workshops planned, I have used the new sizzix die cuts for quilting, but I have cut it out in papers from papermania, used a fine liner to do faux stitching, stamped with a simple sentiment stamp, then stuck a papermania blossom and a button in the middle. Simple but effective me thinks!

Wow Team GB are having an amazing games, and with so many of our greatest athletes doing so well, who could help but be inspired.
I have done my Sunday treadmill run, although I do struggle now, as since joining the Plymouth Musketeers I really prefer to run outside, but today I ran my own PB Lol! Picking up the lingo to boot.
Photo added as proof for myself, taken straight after I finished.
One shows calories and other km.
Crafting has been done today - but as its my daughters wedding invitations for next year, I am unable to show, sorry ;-)

Well I have been wanting to play with the new Strictly Christmas range in the shop for a couple of days and whilst checking Facebook this morning, one of my friends (Sheila) was saying about her second challenge, and it was the most lovely sketch.
That was all the motivation I needed, so set too with, a Strictly topper, brads paper and peel offs and voila, my finished card.
There is a voucher up for grabs, so why not head on over and have a play. Sheilas' blog can be found here: http://craftcreatoins.blogspot.co.uk/
